About: Founded
in 1905, Lincoln National Life Insurance Company is a wholly-owned

Life Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, which was the largest transaction
of its type ever seen in the industry. As a result, Lincoln National

the years, especially with the purchasing of American States Insurance
Company of Indianapolis in 1962, the acquisition of thirteen other
insurance companies, and the merging with Jefferson Pilot Financial
in 2006. Together, with its’ sister companies, First Penn Pacific
Life Insurance Company and Lincoln Life and Annuity Company of New
York, it forms one of the largest financial services organizations
in the nation and the most fiscally sound. Today, Lincoln National
